GRUVLOK COPPER METHOD: COPPER-PREP

Copper Tubing Preparation for the Gruvlok Copper Method is simple and easy. The tubing end is grooved in the shop or at the job site using readily available Gruvlok Copper-Prep grooving tools.

Grooving tools are ready to groove type K, L, M, or DWV tubing. Grooving is fast, an average of 30 seconds or less, depending on tubing size and type. Two models of the Gruvlok Copper-Prep groovers are available. Both are rugged, portable designs for both shop and field grooving.

 

Model 1040C

PORTABLE ROLL GROOVER

Capacity: 2" through 6" Copper Tube

Model 1040C requires just one top roll and one bottom roll to produce quality grooves in copper tubing from 2" through 6" sizes. Easily portable for on-the-job work, the Model 1040C's electric motor rotates pipe at speeds of 60 RPM. The hand hydraulic pump will deliver up to 10000 psi pressure at the point of roll grooving. Like all Grinnell Pipe Grooving Machines, the Model 1040C is ruggedly built to deliver long, trouble-free service.
